Sydney goes fishing

Well today was a good day. Nice and sunny. Dad was out the door at 7 to work on the cabin till lunch. Managed to clean-up the job-site, cut rafter ends, build some scaffold (oona style) so I am ready to start on the roof. Jana baked bread, buns, made soup, Sydney had a three hour nap and Liam played outside alot. Liam helped dad burn the garbage on the beach. Liam friends came back from Prince Rupert today also. He is glad to have them here. They had a rough trip in though. Very windy...they lost a box of groceries overboard. When we stopped in for an impromptu dinner they were salvaging flour and sugar. Not good.
After lunch dad took Sydney fishing. We did quite well. The halibut were biting right away. We should have enough to last us for few weeks now.

  1. Nice catch, must have got it right off the dock eh?
How much did that thing weigh? Probably the biggest halibut I've ever seen. Sydney must be tired after reeling in that guy.

  4. gee wiz Jon- are you sure you weren't using Syndey for bait? Did you catch it in knee deep water with her in the back pack or just the tide pool by the rocks?
