so for months and weeks and days we have been gathering stuff for our second home (ons tweede huis). and now the day approaches when we can finally get all this junk out of our basement and pile it in dad's cabin. the back end of old yeller is sagging more and more everyday as I pile more and more supplies onto her. I sure hope she make's it to Rupert. she's got a date with a fuel barge I just don't wanna miss. no passengers allowed on the barge so it looks like we are gonna be flying in. never done it before. seems to be the best choice though. cheaper and faster than a big boat. logistically way easier than the ferry. hope they can fit all our baggage in the plane...i told them 800pds and they were ok with it. this flying option means we will be saying so long to Rudy (no dogs allowed). We will miss him..but I am sure there will other opportunties to harass deer and chase unsuspecting cats. the ranchers could use some help anyways..and Rudy is full of excitement and eagerness that seniors appreciate.

ReplyDeleteToo bad Rudy couldn't come along - he would've made a great addition to the craziness. But, as you say, the "seniors" will appreciate his youthful energy.
